Richmond Brewpub Crawl
As part of the Blue Gray Breweriana Show, I often organize bus tours to local breweries. This year, the journey was to the south of Fredericksburg, Richmond.
First stop was the BBQ joint, Extra Billy's BBQ, named for a fellow, Billy, who always tried a bit harder to do whatever he was doing and thus got tagged, Extra Billy. One of the owners, Judy, informed me that all the Americana in the restaurant was once in her home. Nice collection! Especially the pig with the beer taps.
Next stop was at Legend Brewing in a warehouse district just south of downtown. They were not prepared to serve 23 lunches in a timely manner. It look 2 hours.
Our final stop is Richrau Brewing in the trendy downtown Shokoe Slip area. I understand this place closed about 10 days later.
