July 3 Balanced Rock
Very near the top of Moore's Knob in Hanging Rock State Park is this balanced rock. I know the photos here don't do this rock justice. This is a great example of one of nature's best engineering feats.
Hiking buddy, Jay, learned about this rock from a park employee. Apparently, a old photo stored away, sparked some interest in finding this rock. So close to the main trail yet so few people take the time to seek it out.
