Uwharries are full of rocks but these get special billing, "Nifty Rocks". I have never seen them before and today was the perfect day to head out there and find them. The equestrian trail leading to them is like most other equestrian trails, a muddy, rutted mess. However, it is only a short distance from the trailhead, so it was worth the short jaunt out there.
This is also nifty but it is a mine shaft off Big Creek, not one of the "Nifty Rocks".
