Feb 26 and Mar 10 Forty Acre Rock

 


I think graffiti invites graffiti. There must be several layers of paint on these walls. The human impact at this Heritage Preserve is increasing.

This blog is covering two recent visits to Forty Acre Rock, Feb 26 and Mar 10. On the first visit, elf Orpine was in its red stage without flowers. Pool sprite was green without flowers. 




Evidence of quarrying the rock can be seen here. Below, see the drill marks in the rock. These would have been for prybars making a clean cut.





Second visit shows a few of the Pool sprite blooming and the same for the Elf orpine. 





Visiting the boulder area, a close inspection of this waterfall reveals that most of the water is entering a crack in the rock. It goes down and changes direction below. It emerges several hundred feet away in two places. A jumble of rock conceals it through the area below.
