First up is Siskiwit River. There are short trails on either side of the river, both leading to nice waterfall viewing spots. I'm sure there are fishing spots there too.
Another waterfall, just like the last one. This looks much like the one a hundred yards upriver. Both sides of the river were apple orchards a few decades back. Today one side had some crabapple trees by the parking area but the other had real apple trees at the edge of the forest. We ate a few and like them. Up until now, every apple from a tree we have tasted is not to our liking.
We are in a conifer forest along one side of the river and spotted this red squirrel with a pine cone.
After visiting Siskiwit, we headed nearby to Lost Creek Falls. A 3 mile round trip led us to a playful waterfall. I was not expecting much but as we approached I could hear the sound of falling water grow. We had passed a number of other hikers so it must be a nice walk. And it was a nice walk along relatively flat terrain with puncheons in many low spots.
The trail dropped abruptly and we were at the waterfall. After a bit of exploring, I saw that one could slip behind it into the grotto which I did. Check it out https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipON7nxqg_7FgzjRb1U4EdKWYu-rsUezWTTr50Mk
