Aug 29 Meow Wolf

OK, this place is weird. The photo above in a domed room with various animal eyes. Not only the eyes of these various creatures but their sounds as well. A cacophony of animal calls is a bit chilling.

Set in an old bowling alley in Santa Fe, NM, Meow Wolf calls itself "immersion art". Over 200 artists contributed to its eclectic collections. The old bowling alley is the space all this is crammed into. Some of it is 2 floors and some not. Most folks start by going into the Victorian house where they can meander about. Walk through the refrigerator and end up in a camp trailer in the desert. Crawl through the fireplace and you might be in another dimension. I don't where you end up if you crawl into the washing machine. There were too many kids in there.

There is a story line associated with all this but unless you have all day, it is hard to figure out what is going on. It involves time travel, multi-dimensional travel, experiments on a hamster which has escaped, the kids are trying to figure out the how to resurrect the time and dimensional travel. To figure all this out, you need to read journals placed throughout the house, pore through family photographs, read old letters etc etc. Some of it has no bearing on the story lines, so good luck if you want to figure that out.

The fireplace passage

The weird birthday

I have no idea what this room was all about. There was music and flashing lights and these creatures.

Enter the ice box and you end up in another weird place.

The neon forest is really cool with the 3D glasses.

There are so many anomalies in the place, you can obtain a app to find them.

Coming to Las Vegas, Denver and Austin!
